Hayes signs with La Tech…
Lancaster DB, Kendal Hayes, announced that he will be attending Louisiana Tech University next fall. Kendal was offered by the University of Missouri, UTEP, the University of Louisiana Monroe and Memphis, but chose La Tech in the end. Hayes’ choice was based primarily on Louisiana Tech’s hiring of new head coach, Sonny Dykes and the possibility of running track for the Bulldogs. His senior season was the first year that Kendal played a defensive back position from his usual weak side linebacker spot, but his production in the 2009 season was certainly enough to gain favor with several colleges. Hayes was recruited as a defensive back by most schools and will play either cornerback or perhaps free safety for La Tech.
