Next Level Athlete will be holding it’s annual Texas Top 100 Showcase this weekend. The top class of 2011 high school football prospects from the Houston and Dallas areas will be invited to what has fast become one of the most popular venues on the recruiting scene. “We are really excited by this years crop of upcoming prospects, this may be one of the most impressive recruiting classes that we have seen, “ said NLA president, Justin Simons. Next Level Athlete’s team of scouts, have been prospecting the class of 2011 since the start of the 2009 football season. They have watched countless football games and have visited nearly every high school in the Dallas and Houston areas in what Next Level Athlete scouts aptly refer to as a, “treasure hunt.” Last years NLA Texas Top 100 Dallas Showcase, drew 38 of the entire regions top 100 prospects, all of which, have been offered major Division 1 offers. 1 out of 3 of the athletes that attended last years Dallas area event received Division 1 offers within two months of the event. “I can’t say that we were entirely responsible for the number of athletes that received offers after our Showcase, these were kids that were going to get offers regardless of what they did. The exciting thing for us; however, is that colleges recognize that our Showcase events attract some really special kids. All in all, this provides more exposure for the athletes, even those that are sure fire scholarship prospects,” said Simons. The Texas Top 100 Showcase will be held on January 30th in The Woodlands and on January 31st in Lancaster, TX.
