Oklahoma State = Montra Nelson!
Arlington Bowie wide receiver, Montra Nelson will be heading off to Oklahoma State next fall. Nelson’s 6’2” 215lb frame is the prototypical fit for the slot position in OSU’s three wide receiver one tight end set. At the Dallas Area Next Level Athlete Showcase, Montra displayed excellent body control, great hands and the aggressive nature that is essential for success in the Big 12. Prior to his commitment to OSU, Montra was offered by the University of Kansas, TCU and Nebraska. “I chose Oklahoma State because of the coaching staff, the environment in Stillwater and the fact that it is relatively close to home. I also felt that I had a realistic opportunity of getting on the field my freshman year,” said Montra “We were really impressed with the coaching staff at Oklahoma State and the their overall approach to recruiting. There is a real down to earth family atmosphere there, we were confident that this was the right decision,” said Montra’s father. For Montra, wavering on his decision is completely out of the question, he is 100 percent certain that he will be a Cowboy next fall and begin enjoying life among the truly elite. Thanks to the millions of dollars in contributions from oil tycoon T. Boone Pickins, OSU boasts one of the country’s finest athletic facilities, just one of the many reasons Oklahoma State University is snagging recruits such as Montra Nelson.
