Quentin Hayes Commits to OU…
Quentin Hayes, from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, TX, announced that he will be attending the University of Oklahoma next fall. The 6 foot 175 pound, defensive back attended the 2009 Next Level Athlete – Blue Chip Showcase in Grand Prairie, TX on January 24th 2009. ”We were very impressed with many of the athletes at the Blue Chip Showcase however, Quentin was one of those athletes that really sparked our attention. We began receiving calls about Quentin almost immediately following the event,” said Justin Simons, President of Next Level Athlete. Along with Tyler Stephenson, Deon Criss and Kendall Hayes, the Lancaster secondary continues to be one of the most highly touted in the area. ”I think that one of the most commonly discussed topics related to the Lancaster secondary is how well coached these guys are. I have heard several times from college coaches how impressed they are with the overall fundamentals of these boys” said Simons. So who’s behind all of this success? Lancaster’s secondary coach, Aaron Fletcher. Although he won’t take the credit for all of the success of his defensive back core, it is certainly obvious that the consistency in fundamentals that each of his DB’s possess has it’s place of origin.
