Mesquite Horn (2-1) vs Denton Guyer (1-1)…

The question will be how well the Horn defense will contain the explosive JW Walsh. Walsh, one of the top QB prospects in the country has big play ability not only with his arm but with his feet as well. Horn matches up pretty well on offense with two D1 caliber wide outs in Jakeem Grant and Jacorey Shepherd. Horn QB, Collin Strahan seems to have his timing down and should make for a worthy opponent on Friday night.

Cy Creek (1-1) vs Cy Falls (2-0)

This game could very well determine the district champ. Cy Creek hit a stumbling block with the season ending injury to star running back Jermichael Selders, but seems to have made up their loss through QB, Chuck Keeton. Cy Falls brings a formidable attack behind QB, Troy Mitchell. This one should come down to the wire.

Katy (2-0) vs. Beaumont Westbrook (3-0)

No 2 ranked Katy takes on an explosive West Brook offense led by QB, Bruce Reyes and RB , Percy Johnson. If they are able to plan against the Katy defense they may have a chance. Katy; however, brings with it a stellar offensive weapon led by senior running back, Donovan Young. This will be a great one.

Stony Point (3-0) vs. DeSoto (3-0)

Arguably the biggest match-up of the week, Stony Point (no. 4) takes on De Soto. (no. 7) Both teams are running on all cylinders offensively but the key to this one is defense. With two explosive offensive teams on the field the game will come down to ball control, protection and defensive stops. It could go either way but it will be great one to see.
